Not his lucky blue polo shirt, nor his lucky blue trousers, nor his lucky blue crash helmet. Minutes after driving out of the pits, he was dead. Amid the wreckage was his crocodile skin wallet which now forms part of an incredible collection of Ascari's personal treasures. Nothing can provide a closer, more tangible contact than the sight of artefacts once close and personal to him.
