A season that opened with total Mercedes dominance is turning into a three-way fight for the fastest car in F1. Mark Hughes explains why
We’re poised at an interesting point of the year off the back of two straight McLaren victories from pole after a season which up to that point had been largely dominated by Mercedes.
As we explained in our piece on the Dutch Grand Prix, that was partly to do with the layout of the two tracks at which Lando Norris won – the Hungaroring and Zandvoort – being the best fit in the season to date with the McLaren’s lower gearing relative to the Mercedes.
