Kimi Antonelli delivered his sixth F1 victory of 2026 at the Belgian Grand Prix, writes Mark Hughes. But this year's cars and their energy limitations made Spa-Francorchamps a shadow of the challenge it usually is.
Kimi Antonelli’s return to the top step of the podium was in the end just an expression of performance. One made a little more complicated by the timing of a VSC on lap 20 just after he’d pitted but before the chasing Charles Leclerc had. That saved Leclerc 7sec compared to Antonelli’s stop, enough to spring him ahead against the run of play.
