Jim Hall is tall for a racing driver — for that's what he was to begin with. He would be taller still but for a knock-kneed stance decreed by injuries sustained in a fiery flip at Stardust Raceway, Las Vegas, scene of the final round of the 1968 Can-Am dust-up. But he's a commanding presence even without his familiar cowboy hat. Er… he's left it on the driving seat of his remarkable, innovative, beautiful Can-Am 2E.
