Aston Martin F1's CEO Andy Cowell has demoted Mike Krack to a trackside role, with the former now becoming team boss instead. Mark Hughes explains how the brilliant former Merc engine guru can make the difference
Aston Martin F1's CEO Andy Cowell has just made himself also the team principal. Lawrence Stroll recruited him three months ago and Cowell has used that time to build up a picture of the team and has now restructured it.
Former team principal Mike Krack is now focused solely on the team's performance trackside at each grand prix as the 'chief trackside officer', his remit no longer including the factory operations. Krack's technical equivalent will be chief technical officer Enrico Cardile.
