When the nine-time world champion retired at the end of 2021 Flamigni started his "second life" in MotoGP, as crew chief to VR46 MotoGP rookie Marco Bezzecchi. Last season Bezzecchi was rookie of the year and is now battling for the 2023 world title after winning two of the first five races.
