| Aragon GP MotoGP 2025 Round 8 Mir robbed of Aragon Sprint result Steadily making his way forward from 11th on the grid, Joan Mir's Sprint was ended early by another rider. Saturday in Aragon would be a largely luckless day for Joan Mir on the Honda HRC Castrol machine. A crash at the end of Free Practice 2 meant Mir headed into Q2 with just a single bike available and qualified in 11th as a result. Despite the fall, Mir still went over three seconds faster than his Qualifying time from 2024 in Aragon – pole setter Marc Marquez a second faster than his 2024 pole. The progress of Mir and the Honda RC213V a clear highlight of the day. Taking avoiding action at the start of the 11 lap Sprint, Mir recovered well to enter the battle for the top ten and points. Keeping out of trouble, the 2020 MotoGP World Champion was making steady progress which was rapidly halted by contact from Miller as the pair ran off track, with Mir falling as a result. Sunday's Aragon GP will run over the course of 23 laps and once again, Mir is forced to play catch up after missing a Sprint's worth of data. | |
